Trip to Pulau Pangkor & Royal Malaysian Navy

Departing at 11pm sharp, we were heading towards Lumut, Perak where the base of TLDM (Royal Malaysian Navy) was. Travelling along the North-South Highway from Ayer Hitam towards the Sungkai exit at Perak is a boring journey. We did take a stop at Rawang R&R for some break.

After 7 hours journey, we reached Lumut at 6.45am. Took our breakfast at the nearby Mamak stall and began our day. Since we were only allowed to enter the Navy base at 2.30pm, we walked to the nearby jetty terminal where there's a ferry service towards Pangkor Island. The ticket for a two way rides was RM10.

A journey of 40 minutes on the ferry takes us to the passanger jetty of Pulau Pangkor. Please noted that the were two jetties and you should stop at the second one for easy access to public transport. As soon as we step down our foot at the island, we noticed that there were a lot of motors for rent besides than the pink charter van. However, we didn't take any of the transport services but decide to explore part of the Island by foot.

We really didn't have any time to really enjoy the attractions in the island as we need to leave the island by 11.30am for the next activity. We walk around the street and stop at a chinese coffee shop. After having some food, we proceed to the nearby souvenir shop to get some souvenir and also some local snacks. We leave the island at 11.30am.

At 2pm, we depart to the Royal Malaysia Navy base which is approximately 15 minutes from the jetty. This is a restricted area where only visitor with pass are allowed to enter. The rest of the story as shown in the pictures below.
